Literature Text

You aren't the same soul I remember way back when
The stars burst into flames
And crumbled to our feet
And you kissed me soft and slow
My heart leapt towards yours
Waves crashing in the dark
They were our heartbeats
That made me deaf
And made you bold
That caused you to whisper inaudible things into my neck
My eyes got weary
And your eye got bruised
It wasn't meant to happen this way
I don't like this title.
It's one in the morning. In between the internet, writing random lines for this poem, and listening to music, I've been trying to write an essay.

I'm so distracted and yet so oddly productive.
I'll never understand the way I work.

*EDIT: I don't understand why people keep favouring this. This poem kind of sucks :/
